Public Sector Solar PV Panels

Demand for installing solar PV panels onto the roofs of existing buildings has exploded since the Feed in Tariff scheme (FiTs) was launched in April 2010.  The annual UK market has grown from 10MW in 2009 to 1,000MW in 2011, and this level of activity is likely to continue for the next 3 years; installed capacity of solar PV could be as much as 22,000MW by 2020.

The price of solar panels has fallen dramatically over the last 2 years and the Feed-in Tariff has been reduced to reflect the fall in prices.  However, the returns are still as good as they were when the scheme was first launched – and solar electricity is now cheaper than grid electricity.  And once your solar panels are installed, the price of your electricity will not increase.

We have designed and installed solar PV systems for a wide variety of public sector organisations such as:

  • Registered Social Landlords and Housing Associations

  • NHS Trusts

  • Prisons

  • Schools, Academies, Colleges and Universities

  • Local Authorities

Our clients include social landlords such as, Kirklees Neighbourhood Housing, Ravens Housing Trust, City South Manchester; Local authorities such as East Ridings of Yorkshire Council and Kirklees Council; Research Centres such as the National Oceanography Centre, amongst many others.
