North West Bicester
Eco-Town - hill

Photon Energy has installed a 241.8 kWp solar PV system at North West Bicester Eco-Town working for Hill.

Photon Energy won the tender to install 241.8 kWp of solar PV in phase 2 of the building of NW Bicester eco-town, for regular client, Hill. This phase comprises of 67 houses and one block of flats, providing a mix of homes, from two bedroom starter properties to five bedroom executive homes.

Each home features a substantial solar PV array, comprised of 7-21 modules, sized between 1.75 and 5.25 kWp. Viridian Solar Clearline Fusion 250 Wp integrated roof panels were chosen for their sleek appearance and ease of installation.

Zeversolar inverters were specified as they were ideally placed to cope with the considerable load from the PV installations.

The system will generate 219,236 kWh/year and save 113.8 tCO₂/year.

The zero carbon homes contain, in addition to the solar PV, a number of energy efficient features and are highly insulated.

Narinder Jheeta, Technical Coordinator at Hill said: “We were pleased to be working with Photon Energy on this flagship project at North West Bicester. Their project managers were very professional which helped the installation process go smoothly and keep to schedule. We have a long standing relationship with Photon Energy and look forward to working with them again on future projects.”
