Southend airport business park

photon energy has installed 500.54kwp solar pv for southend airport business park.

Photon Energy was contracted by Readie Construction to install 500kWp solar PV for Southend Airport Business Park.

Across the site Trina 290Wp PV modules were connected to Solis inverters. Modules have been mounted using K2 MiniRail system. The design also ensured ease of access for future maintenance.

Southend Airport Business Park is a new commercial and industrial development built adjacent to London Southend Airport.

Photon Energy has previously installed the 119kWp PV system at London Southend Airport terminal, which was the largest UK airport solar panel installation.

The PV system has a total installed capacity of 500kWp and is expected to generate around 454,000kWh of energy per annum.

The PV system is expected to help the business park achieve a BREEAM very good environmental assessment rating and save 234 tonnes of carbon emissions.

The £150m project forms part of the delivery of a new business park to support the continued development of London Southend Airport, building high quality space and infrastructure for a collaborative ecosystem that acts as a catalyst for future growth.

Danny Griffiths, Site Supervisor at Photon Energy said:
