white Hart Lane Railway station

photon energy has installed 7kwp for white hart lane station in tottenham, london.

Photon Energy was contracted to install 7kWp Solar PV for White Hart Lane, Railway Station.

The station underwent a full refurbishment in 2019. Transport for London (TFL) opened the new White Hart Lane Station, which provides quicker and easier access for local commuters and visitors attending events.

24 x Bisol 295 mono-crystalline PV modules were used in the installation. The project was completed in 2 days so as not to cause any disruption to the normal operation of the station.

In order to maximise output from the PV system and provide an enhanced level of safety, SolarEdge inverters and optimisers were installed.

Photon Energy are the only UK solar PV installer to be a member of the Rail Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme (RISQS), allowing us to install solar PV arrays for Network Rail and Transport for London. The RISQS scheme helps suppliers sell in to the rail industry through the UK by providing an open way for them to be recognised as providers of products and services.

The redevelopment of the new station will provide quicker access for local commuters and those using the station on event days at the Tottenham stadium. The addition of a solar PV system will allow the railway station to reduce energy costs and drive down their carbon emissions.

Lucy Aitchison, Engineering Director at Photon Energy said:

“This was the first time that Photon Energy worked with Fourways Communication, as they predominantly work with the UK rail industry. We are pleased with the outcome of the project and look forward to working with them again on future projects.”
